Calculations run entirely on your device. There is no account, no database and no volume API — nothing you type is sent to a server to be stored. That is a product choice, not a limitation of the host.

How the numbers are produced

Linear measurements are converted to metres using 0.3048 m per foot and 0.0254 m per inch. Rectangular, circular and oval formulas are the geometric volumes described in the formula guide. Gallons use the litre definitions 3.785411784 L (US) and 4.54609 L (imperial).

The site is not a substitute for a surveyor, a structural engineer or the instructions on a chemical label. If you are filling a pool for the first time or sizing a heater, treat the result as a well-founded estimate and round up when you buy sanitiser.
